Use with SC402 or 402 Mandrel. The Dremel exclusive Easy Speedclic (SC) mechanism, makes wheel changing keyless, easy and fast: PULL – TWIST – RELEASE. It makes accessory changes 6X faster than using a standard mandrel (EZ SpeedClic mandrel SC402 and 402 sold separately). When using a 511S or 512S, after turning on the tool, touch the buff LIGHTLY to the material and pass over the area a few times until the material is cleaned up. A lighter touch is the best technique with this accessory. Pushing on the buff will damage it and wear it out more quickly. To extend the life of the 511S, 512S, they should not be be run in excess of 15,000 rpm

The Man Behind The Scene
Albert J. Dremel came to America in 1906 as a young and penniless Austrian immigrant with a head filled with innovative ideas and an intuitively adept mechanical aptitude - he was awarded 55 patents throughout his lifetime for his inventions. After a brief retirement from his career as an engineering designer, Albert Dremel grew restless and founded Dremel Manufacturing Co. in Racine, in 1932. Seeing the success of his company, Albert passed away July 18, 1968.
1935 - The First Multi-tool
